Dedicated to Improving Human Health and Mobility.
Our mission is to improve the human condition by addressing the emerging global crisis in human mobility — a devolutionary event wrought by our flattened ambulatory environments and sedentary lifestyles.
Our vision is to deliver extraordinary solutions to our customers based on our unique intellectual properties — continually striving to optimize the human condition through functional robotics.
Our Timeline.
Two Parallel Beginnings
In the mid-1990s, Dan began work on a concept whole-body passive-motion mobility system in California, while Andre began near-simultaneous development of the StepChallenger 3D active-motion hip rehabilitation device in Quebec.
Evidence-Based Foundations
Andre developed multiple versions of the StepChallenger, while Dan produced the Guide to Evidence-Based Medicine and used the lessons learned as a template for evidence-based product development.
Joining Forces
Dan and Andre joined forces, beginning a journey to understand the core elements of human ambulation and use those lessons to develop an approach to optimize human ambulatory performance.
Product Launch
The Kinoped has evolved into the world's most advanced ambulatory workstation, created to address the entire spectrum of injury prevention, performance improvement, and rehabilitation.
Following the Evidence.
Evidence-Based
An evidence-based approach to product development — every decision traceable to data.
Multifaceted
One platform that lets you observe, create and manipulate over 14 lower-extremity degrees of freedom (7 per leg).
